On 29 October, SDE successfully hosted the 2024 Business-Finance Cooperation Conference in Hohhot, with the theme of "Integrating Industry and Finance, Jointly Exploring New Development Horizons". The Conference aimed to promote high-quality development in Inner Mongolia and Shandong. During that, SDE engaged with 43 major national financial institutions to align with the economic and social development plans of Inner Mongolia. The purpose is to build a key national energy and strategic resource base and enhance cooperation between enterprises and financial institutions in both regions.
Since 2002 when SDE made its way into the Region, SDE has closely followed the bilateral strategic plans, and expanded its investments in coal, chemicals, electricity, new energy, and modern logistics. The Inner Mongolia has become a critical base for SDE’s quality-oriented development.
Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of SDE, expressed his gratitude for the long-term support from financial institutions. As of September, SDE has secured credit lines totaling more than RMB800 billion from 56 banks, therefore providing strong financial support for its high-quality growth. He hoped that the Conference would deepen industry-finance cooperation, promote innovation in project-building, corporate credit, and supply chain finance, and contribute to the coordinated development of both regions.
Ma Baoguo, Executive Deputy Director of the Financial Office of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Li Feng, Party Secretary of the Shandong Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Fu Xiao, Party Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, all expressed their commitments to implementing national strategic directives and supporting the SDE’s development in Inner Mongolia.
During the Conference, SDE highlighted its subsidiaries, including Yankuang Energy, Xinkuang Group, Northwest Mining, and Xinjiang Energy Chemical. The 43 financial institutions present engaged in in-depth discussions with SDE on strengthening industry-finance cooperation and deepening the integration of financial and industrial sectors.
Looking ahead, SDE will continue to bear in mind the "Five Major Tasks" and the "Comprehensive Development of the Exemplary Autonomous Region" in Inner Mongolia, aligning with the local government's plans and pushing for coordinated development between the two sides.
SDE will also increase its investments here to pursue the "Four-in-One" progress in coal power, coal chemical, new energy, and smart logistics, so as to build a newfound low-carbon energy base.
The Conference was hosted by Ru Gang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Auditor of SDE.
