Shandong Energy Group New Energy Smart Operation Center Officially Commences Operation! Li Wei and Man Shengang Jointly Unveil the Center

On 19 October, the Offshore Wind Power Project Promotion Meeting and Commissioning Ceremony for the New Energy Smart Operation Center of Shandong Energy Group ("the Group") were held in Dongying. The event marks that China's largest and most technologically advanced integrated offshore-onshore wind-solar-storage digital-intelligent operation project has achieved unified dispatch, centralized management and control, and intelligent operation and maintenance for the Bozhong 10-GW-level offshore wind power base (in the central Bohai Sea) and the Lubei wind-solar-storage base (in northern Shandong). Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of the Group, and Man Shengang, Secretary of the CPC Dongying Municipal Committee, delivered remarks respectively and jointly unveiled the plaque for the Group's New Energy Smart Operation Center. 

Li Wei stated that the high-quality construction of the Bozhong 10-GW-level offshore wind power base and the completion and commissioning of the New Energy Smart Operation Center are the fruitful results of government and enterprise working with one heart and joining hands to advance, and also embody the expectations of all parties for green and low-carbon development. Moving forward, the Group will strengthen the leading role of the platform, leverage its advantages of "unified access, unified dispatch and unified management", accelerate the connection of more new energy stations, improve power forecasting accuracy and the level of smart operation and maintenance, and actively build a first-class domestic and industry-leading model of digital-intelligent operation. It will strengthen project support, stay focused on the goal of the Bozhong 10-GW-level offshore wind power base, advance the development of subsequent sites, the deployment of new-type energy storage and the construction of supporting projects, strictly manage key milestones and quality, and ensure that projects are connected to the grid on schedule and reach their designed output and expected returns. It will strengthen its role as an industrial chain leader, drive upstream and downstream enterprises to build, complement, extend and strengthen the industrial chain in a targeted manner, promote the deep integration of digital technology and the new energy industry, deepen its presence across the full "offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, storage and digital" industrial chain, promote the high-quality development of the new energy industry, and help Dongying accelerate the development of the new-type energy economy demonstration zone.

On behalf of the CPC Dongying Municipal Committee and the Municipal People's Government, Man Shengang congratulated the Group on the completion and commissioning of the New Energy Smart Operation Center and briefed attendees on Dongying's economic and social development. He said that Dongying is an important national energy base with a unique geographical location, abundant resource endowments and broad space for development. In recent years, guided by the development of the new-type energy economy demonstration zone, the CPC Dongying Municipal Committee and the Municipal People's Government have actively promoted the development and utilization of renewable energy, and the energy industry has shown a sound momentum of expanding scale, optimizing structure and forming clustered industrial chains. Shandong Energy Group is a key provincially state-owned enterprise and a long-standing, trusted old friend and good partner of Dongying. He expressed the hope that both sides will further strengthen communication and coordination, tap cooperation potential, expand the scope of cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. The CPC Dongying Municipal Committee and the Municipal People's Government will endorse all efforts to provide high-quality and efficient services for project construction and enterprise development, so that enterprises can invest with confidence, operate with peace of mind and focus on development in Dongying.

Hou Yugang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Group, presided over the event. Leaders of Shandong Energy New Energy Group and Power China Zhongnan Corporation briefed attendees on relevant work.

The Group's New Energy Smart Operation Center is China's first regional core platform featuring "five centers and one base". Integrating data processing, centralized control, smart operation, regional management, technological research and development, and talent development, the platform performs centralized management and control as well as one-stop coordinated operation and maintenance for 10-GW-level new energy projects. It has innovatively built a five-in-one, three-dimensional intelligent operation and maintenance system covering air, space, ground, sea and subsea, marking a key step for the Group's new energy industry by moving from traditional operation and maintenance towards digitalization and intelligence.
