On the afternoon of 16 August, 2021, a strategic cooperation agreement was inked between Shandong Energy and Jinan Municipal Government at Long’ao Building.

Under the presence of Sun Licheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, Sun Shutao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Jinan City, Jiang Xiaoguang, Member and Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, and Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of Shandong Energy, Wang Hongzhi, Member of CPC Jinan Municipal Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jinan Municipal Group and Director of Jinan Municipal High-tech Zone, and Zhang Baocai, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Director, General Manager of Shandong Energy signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of each side.

Wang Qinguang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Jinan Municipal Committee and the Director of Finance Bureau of Jinan City, Yue Baode, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Director of Shandong Energy, Ru Gang, Director and CFO of Shandong Energy attended the ceremony.

During the meeting, Li Wei expressed his gratitude to the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee and Jinan Municipal People’s Government for years of help and support delivered to Shandong Energy Group. He stressed that in recent years, Jinan has offered greater ease for doing business and gained stronger momentum for its growth, as huge potential is being unleashed. Therefore, Shandong Energy will be responsive in aligning its development trajectory with Jinan's growth strategy and targets accordingly, be proactive in refining cooperative projects, and be vigorous in turbocharging two-way cooperation so as to boost quality development of Jinan.

Sun Licheng replied that Shandong Energy Group is a flagship among all provincial enterprises, the one that has forged a robust cooperative relationship with Jinan and thus contributed enormously to the socio-economic development of Jinan. It is much-anticipated that Shandong Energy will bring its own advantages to the fullest, and reflect its efforts in further strengthening its investment in the city and enhancing the practical cooperation with the Headquarter in Jinan in the fields of high-tech, intelligent manufacturing, trade, finance, new materials and new energy. In turn, Jinan will reciprocate with more preferential policies and premium services.

Reportedly, through strategic cooperation, Shandong Energy’s technological advantages in key industries and financing advantages entitled to a large state-owned enterprise will be brought into full play. The investment will focus on the areas of high-tech, new energy and new materials, intelligent manufacturing, trade, finance, etc., to provide great improvement to Jinan as it is moving toward being a prosperous provincial capital in the new era.
