On the afternoon of September 26, Ju Jianhua, Director of Department of Mineral Resources Protection & Supervision of Ministry of Natural Resources, accompanied by Song Shoujun, a first-class inspector of Department of Natural Resources of Shandong Province, came to visit SDEG. Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, received the guests.

Accompanied by Li Wei, Ju Jianhua visited SDEG Center for Command and Control and heard the introduction of SDEG. SDEG places priority to green development and resource conservation strategy. In action, SDEG has strengthened its efforts in mineral resources protection through rational development and utilization and increase recovery rate of coal resources maximumly. Meanwhile, SDEG vigorously promotes greener refilling method in mining area while exploring new models for land subsidence restoration and green mines operation in an attempt to realize the transformation and upgrading from extensive, highly-consuming and inefficient development to intensive, low-carbon, efficient and ecological development.

Ju Jianhua affirmed the achievements made by SDEG in industrial transformation and development, energy safety and supply consistency, and green mine construction. He hoped that SDEG could thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s thought on ecological civilization, vigorously promote the construction of green mines in accordance with the concept of "green, ecological and recyclable" and build itself into a benchmark of first-class enterprise in the coal industry.

He added that it is necessary to practice industry standards, invest more into sci-tech innovation, improve innovation capabilities and process intelligentization, promote the construction of smart coal mines, and boost production efficiency and safety management and control. Meanwhile, it is crucial to abide by corresponding regulations as stipulated in the Mineral Resources Law and other laws, and act as a responsible SOE to ensure energy security and optimize energy layout and mix.

Officials from Department of Mineral Resources Protection & Supervision of Ministry of Natural Resources of PRC, officials from Department of Natural Resources of Shandong Province, and Zhang Ruoxiang, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Vice General Manager of SDEG, were also present during the visit.
