On the afternoon of June 10th, SDE held the meeting for the first batch of temporary post training, with the aim to earnestly implement the instructions on strengthening the cadre-building, and launch the first batch of cadres temporary-post training under the "31789" young cadres selection and training project. The meeting called for the organizations at different levels to well-organize the training based on a big picture and effectively promote high-quality development with concrete results. 

(“31789” project means that in 3 years, 80-100 post-90s cadres will be selected and trained to join the leadership team of the third-level subsidiaries; 80-100 post-90s cadres will join the Headquarter and the sub-headquarters of second-level subsidiaries as deputy directors and above, and 80-100 leading talents will be hired; according to 4:5:1 ratio, the staffing of the "post-70, post-80, post-90" of the leadership team should be optimized)

Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Li Wei pointed out that the reason why the Party Committee organizes the first batch of training program is to cultivate outstanding young cadres and build a professional cadre team, which is a forceful measure to consolidate SDE’s talent-building. Organizations and cadres at all levels should take into account the overall situation of SDE’s reform and development, fully understand the significance of the training work, and bring their thoughts and actions in line with the decision-making and deployment of the Party Committee.

The designated comrades who are about to take temporary posts should cherish this precious opportunity, effectively improve their learning and thinking ability, put political requirements in the first place, actively participate in the political life of their affiliated party branches, so as to improve their calibre and expand horizons; they need to start from square one to adapt to the identity change. The yardstick to gauge their performance is “whether the work is down-to-earth, well-implemented and suitable enough. Comrades who are temporarily dispatched to the Headquarter should finish the bottom-up role transition as soon as possible, and assist their departments to improve the abilities of solving primary-level problems; they should also position themselves quickly and seek self-improvement whole-heartedly; in addition to improving the self-discipline, they must do more to keep modest and prudent, law-abiding and clean, striving to be pacesetters in this training program.

The performance assessment should be realistic, and the human resources departments should follow the status of cadres in a timely manner, and effectively solve their problems and difficulties. A tailored training plan for every personnel must be rolled out according to their respective abilities. The follow-up training should be carried out in a step-by-step manner, to truly allow outstanding young comrades to shine and thrive.
