On May 29th, the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province sent a gratitude letter to SDE, expressing full recognition for its long-term contributions to ensuring the energy supply in the province, especially in terms of coal reserves and supply.

The Commission stated that the CPC Shandong Energy Committee has strictly followed the decisions and arrangements of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Government, fulfilled its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, and overcome various difficulties regardless of external pressure or induced costs. SDE has made all-out efforts to complete the coal reserve tasks two days ahead of schedule.

At the same time, SDE has strengthened on-site management of coal reserves, which has effectively ensured the coal supply for power plants, contributed to promoting stable economic and social development and delivered a warm winter for the people.

The letter also pointed out that the CPC Shandong Energy Committee is expected to follow the specific requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and Government regarding ensuring energy and power supply. SDE should firmly shoulder the mission of "one guarantee and two optimizations," secure the decisive victory of ensuring energy and power supply during the peak summer in 2023, and contribute SDE power to Shandong’s high-quality development.
