From 20 to 21 September, 2023 China Top 500 Companies Summit was held in Hefei, Anhui Province. Zhang Ruoxiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Vice General Manager of SDE, attended the meeting, during which the list of "2023 China Top 500 Companies" was released. SDE ranked 22nd with operating revenues of RMB834.7 billion in 2023, one spot higher than in 2022. As the mainstay of the national economy, SDE did everything possible to ensure the stable economic growth in 2022, ranking 72nd in Fortune Global 500 in 2023, with the paid taxes of RMB52.9 billion in 2022. SDE fully plays its role as a state-owned enterprise to stablize growth and employment and prevent risks.

2023 China Top 500 Companies Summit is hosted by China Enterprise Confederation and organized by Anhui Provincial People's Government. Its theme is "Pursue a Chinese path to modernization and speed up the construction of the world's first-class enterprises". It has been held for 22 times since 2002.
