On 25th October, the Opening Ceremony of China Coal & Mining Expo 2023 was successfully held at the China International Exhibition Center. Li Wei, the Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, participated in the event and delivered a keynote speech, with the accompany of a group of SDE participants. SDE was rated by the China National Coal Association as the “Outstanding Contributor to the China International Mining Exhibition”.
Under the theme “Intelligence Led Future, Share to Sustain”, Chairman Li Wei shared his insights and understandings on the future development of coal mining industry amid the Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals.
Li Wei said while following the trend of carbon reduction in the international coal industry, we should also maintain the balance between carbon reduction and economic&social development, coordinate the relationship between traditional energy transition and new energy development, and take a steady and safe approach in advancing carbon reduction. In response to the call of the times, SDE shall take the lead and stand out in intelligent mine construction amid other international peers in the coal industry. It is imperative for SDE to build a batch of intelligent demonstration coal mines, develop a group of AI scenarios, renovate and upgrade a series of intelligent equipment so as to usher a brand new future for the coal mining industry that features digitization and intelligence. For the global coal industry, it is now a must to cultivate the new branding that features friendliness in both environment and ecology. Therefore, it is necessary to promote green mining methods, innovate the mine operation models, explore better methodologies in rehabilitating the subsidence land areas and build a new energy system. It is also important to shoulder the major responsibilities of supply guarantee in the international coal industry. SDE shall guard energy security, ensure production and supply, assess coal reserve and increase production, expand supply channels and ensure stock. It is a must for SDE to ensure coal production and safeguard the country’s coal supply. It is the global trend for coal mining industry to forge a new development pattern that features the multiple energy mix. It is also imperative to develop the industry chain that integrates coal mining and power generation, cultivate new energy industry clusters and strive to take the lead in the energy industrial chain in the current era. In order to secure the leading position in the transformation of global coal industry, it is a must and priority to further innovate technologies, fully pool the talent resources and enhance international influence.
After the opening ceremony, Hua Jianmin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress, Zhou Dechang, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Mine Safety Administration, Lu Junling, Chief Economist of the National Energy Administration, Liang Jiakun, President of the China National Coal Association, Li Yanjiang, Secretary of the CPC China National Coal Association Committee, and Ndlovu, Chairman of the World Coal Association (“WCA”) visited Shandong Energy Group’s exhibition area where they learned about AI Mine Models, Mine Harmony Internet of Things, High-end equipment manufacturing, Intelligent Coal Mine Development, and other SDE achievements in electric power and electronics. Not only did these guests highly recognize the remarkable achievements made by Shandong Energy in the past few years, but also gave positive comments on the new technologies and new breakthroughs secured by SDE in coal mining and coal mining equipment.
On the same afternoon, Shandong Energy Group signed Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Joy Global. Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, and Brian Thompson, President of Joy Global, witnessed the signing ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. The Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement was signed by Liu Jian, the Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, and Vice General Manager of SDE, and Byron Zhang, Vice President of Joy Global China Region, on behave of both sides. In accordance to the agreement, the two parties shall tap the synergy of both the domestic and the international market, fully utilize the respective advantages in technology, industry and resources and join hands in promoting the R&D, and application in advanced equipment technologies, as well as advancing the safe, efficient and intelligent mine construction so as to achieve win-win in the international market, and make bigger contributions to the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry and high-quality, green and low-carbon development of the global mining industry.
During the exhibition, the "Intelligent Mine Time Sensitive Network (TSN) control system", jointly developed by Shandong Energy Group and China Coal Technology&Engineering Group (CCTEG) after years’ R&D, debuted at CCTEG Tianma Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd’s exhibition area.
In collaboration with CCTEG, BDTD under Yunding Technology, TD Tech and other industrial partners, Huawei Mine Legion launched a ceremony for the global debut of the whole series of Intelligent Mine Safety Individual Equipment where BDTD showcased the first set of bone conduction headset for mine use in the mining industry.
Sun Xikui, the Chief Engineer of Shandong Energy Group participated in the event.
Under the theme of “Intelligence Led Future, Share to sustain”, the China Coal & Mining Expo 2023 was held to advance intelligent manufacturing with a focus on global mining industry, and respond to the “Carbon Peaking&Carbon Neutrality” Goals by gathering and exhibiting the new achievements and cutting-edge technologies in the global mining industry. Shandong Energy Group dispatched Shandong Energy Group Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Yankuang Donghua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, Yunding Technology, WindSun Science & Technology Co., Ltd to attend the Expo, which showcased a total of over 400 products (the record high in terms of the number of exhibited products) covering the whole industrial chain of intelligent coal mining, mine equipment automation, intelligent mine and digital mine construction as well as green and energy conservation.
