On the morning of 20 August, the founding conference of Shandong Energy Group Theme International Trade Company was held in Jinan. This marks a concrete action for the implementation of President Xi Jinping's instruction to bolster trade. It also aligns with the spirit of Shandong Province’s High-Level Opening-up and High-Quality Investment Promotion Conference, and promotes high-quality cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong.

Wang Hong, Member of Party Group and Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce; Zhou Hongwen, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Shandong SASAC; Yang Li, Vice Mayor of Jinan; Ren Guangfeng, Executive Deputy Director of Jinan Innovation Zone; Sun Bo, Deputy Director of Jinan Customs; Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of SDE; and You Zhenhua, President of Prosperity Steel United Singapore, jointly unveiled the Shandong Energy Group Theme International Trade Company.

Li Wei stated that the joint venture between Shandong Energy and Theme International is beneficial for fully leveraging the strengths of both parties to build a high-quality international trading platform under the "Remarkable Shandong & Trading to the World from Shandong" initiative. The aim is to create a comprehensive supply chain solution that integrates logistics, supply chain management, and financial services, and to achieve complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

Shandong Energy will thoroughly implement the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and carry out the decisions of "create a new mecca for opening-up, stabilize the fundamentals of foreign trade, and foster new drivers for foreign trade".

We will uphold the mission of acting as "a pillar of economic growth and leader of industrial development," fully utilize mutual advantages in the production, marketing, and channels of bulk commodities within China, and draw on Theme International’s supply chain business management mechanisms and risk control measures.

Through resource sharing, we aim to pool strengths and empower industries, exploring multi-commodity, multi-dimensional, and multi-field trading paths, building a world-class modern logistics trade service provider, and striving to set a new model for the cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong. All this will contribute to Shandong’s high-level opening-up and high-quality investment attraction.
