The MinExpo Intentional 2024 was held in the Convention Center, Las Vegas, the U.S.A recently by the NMA of the US. Held every four years, the MINExpo is one of the largest international exhibitions in the mining field in the world, attracting more than 2,000 companies from 46 countries and regions around the world. In order to fully understand the development and leading trend of international mining technology and equipment, Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC SDE Committee and the Chairman Shandong Energy Group, headed a delegation to attend the exhibition both as a visitor and an exhibitor, showcasing the advantageous mining equipment and the latest achievements of SDE’s equipment manufacturing segment.
SDE, as a mega-size multinational energy enterprise of China, exhibited high-end equipment focusing on international market, including hydraulic support, belt conveyor, oil cylinder, conveyor belt, rubber hose, rollers and other products. Among them, ZY13000/14/28D shielding hydraulic support developed through foreign cooperation, the complete forged leg composing of 600 cylinder and 420 column (passed 60,000 times of European EN standard testing) and other products, once unveiled, have become the focus of visitors’ attention. It fully demonstrates SDE’s quality manufacturing of world-class standards in equipment manufacturing.
When Li Wei inspected SDE’s booth, he stressed that SDE undertakes the responsibility and mission of "ensuring energy security, optimizing energy planning and optimizing energy structure", and strives to promote new industrialization and digital intelligent transformation. The high-end hydraulic support on display was exported to Australia, achieving a breakthrough in the overseas market. Relying on SDE's international platform, he hoped that the equipment manufacturing sector should explore and serve the global market with leading products and services. In the mean time, refine product quality, create advanced manufacturing standards system, promote high-end manufacturing through internationalization, so as to effectively serve the intelligent transformation and high-quality development of the mining sector of SDE.
During the exhibition, Li Wei visited the booths of leading mining equipment companies such as Caterpillar, Komat’su, Liebherr, Sandvik, etc., to learn about the development trend of international mining equipment and technology in detail, especially the unmanned and remote control of open-pit mines, and the latest achievements of hard rock mining and intelligent key technology equipment. He also held discussions and exchanges with senior executives of international suppliers for in-depth cooperation.
During his visit to the US, Li Wei’s delegation also visited the open cut equipment test sites of Caterpillar and Komat’su in Tucson respectively, to observe the latest open cut equipment and technology.
