On 7 November, at the 7th China International Import Expo, SDE achieved a major deal. As the only representative of the Shandong trading area, SDE signed contracts worth USD3.5 billion (approximately RMB24.5 billion) with leading enterprises from Japan, South Korea, Russia, and large companies from Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. The agreement covers energy, chemicals, iron ore, and agricultural products. As the world’s first national-level imports-themed exhibition, the CIIE has become a key platform for China to promote high-level opening-up and build a new development paradigm.

SDE is implementing the Shandong's strategy of “Remarkable Shandong & Trading with the World” by leveraging the "Yi Lu Tong" Shandong International Trade and Industry Service Platform, seizing new opportunities arising from global international trade, and promoting the progress in modern logistics and trade. This signing strengthens global trade links between SDE and the world, improves local real industries, refines supply chains, industrial chains, and innovation chains, and thus contributes to foreign trade growth in Shandong.
