On the morning of 31 August, Yankuang Energy (600188.SH; 1171.HK) held its 2026 Interim Results Presentation in Hong Kong. Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of Shandong Energy Group and Yankuang Energy, and Wang Jiuhong, Secretary of the CPC Yankuang Energy Committe, Director and General Manager of Yankuang Energy, attended the presentation together with the management team and senior executives of Yancoal Australia. They presented the 2026 interim results to domestic and overseas investors, analysts and media reporters, and addressed key questions from the capital market.

Li Wei stated that in the first half of the year, in the face of a severe and complex external environment, Yankuang Energy (“the Company”) continuously optimized its production organization, accelerated project construction, revitalized existing assets and deepened capital operations. Targeted and pragmatic measures were implemented and delivered positive results, and profitability improved substantially. Under International Financial Reporting Standards, sales revenue reached RMB 70.23 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%; net income attributable to shareholders for the period was RMB 7.87 billion, a year-on-year increase of 57.2%. The Company proposes to distribute an interim cash dividend of RMB 0.20 per share, sharing the fruits of development with investors.

Li Wei highlighted on the development achievements of the Company's five major industries. The coal industry maintained stable production and pursued excellence, with output recovering quarter by quarter. Commercial coal production in the first half of the year was 88.02 million tonnes, and commercial coal production in the second quarter reached 46.47 million tonnes, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 11.8%. In the face of market volatility and fluctuations, the synergies of the "coal-chemical integration" industrial chain were fully unleashed, and the chemical segment achieved a net profit of RMB 1.14 billion. Relying on the acquisition of high-quality assets from the controlling shareholder, the electric power and new energy segment achieved leapfrog development, with newly added installed capacity of 12000MW, placing the Company among the first tier of domestic listed coal-fired power companies. Newly-involved industries such as equipment manufacturing and smart logistics achieved breakthroughs on multiple fronts, advancing towards innovation and higher quality, and fostering new drivers of development.

Li Wei pointed out that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yankuang Energy grasped the trends of the energy transformation with foresight, closely followed the national strategic deployment, optimized its industrial structure, laid out key projects and withdrew backward production capacity, continuously consolidating its foundation for development. Benchmarked against the requirements of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Coal Industry, such as "building large mines while phasing out small ones, and expanding advanced capacity while eliminating backward capacity," the Company's development strategy is highly aligned with the national plan, and the Company has taken the lead in piloting and achieving breakthroughs in multiple fields. With high-quality production capacity being gradually released, the effectiveness of cost control and expense reduction becoming evident, and acquired assets contributing profits upon consolidation, the Company's future profit potential will continue to be released. The Company will seize opportunities, strengthen its businesses, boost its earnings and create value, delivering higher value and greater returns to shareholders and stakeholders through outstanding performance.

During the Q&A session, investors paid close attention to Yankuang Energy's strategic layout and development prospects, and exchanged views on issues such as the target of 300 million tonnes of raw coal during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the progress of project acquisitions, and the development plan for electric power and new energy. The management systematically addressed issues of market interest regarding the path for releasing coal production capacity, the progress of chemical projects, and the arrangements for completing acquisition projects, fully demonstrating confidence in the Company's long-term operations.

Participating investors stated that amid a deep restructuring of the global energy landscape, Yankuang Energy possesses outstanding growth attributes and a high-quality asset base, a clear development strategy, orderly sequencing of capacity ramp-up, efficient operation and solid management. Its results growth is highly resilient and predictable, and it is entering a stage of concentrated release of capacity and returns, with its investment value more evident.

The results presentation was held in an "on-site + online" format, with more than 200 investors, analysts and media reporters in attendance. Following the presentation, the Yankuang Energy roadshow team will conduct multiple "one-on-one" and "one-on-many" meetings to present its operating results and development prospects to domestic and overseas markets, and convey the value of its high-quality growth.
