In the afternoon 13 July, Li Wei, the Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of Shandong Energy Group met Xie Heping, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and other experts in coal mining industry, who came to attend the "Review Meeting on the Guidelines for the Application of the National Natural Science Foundation of China - Shandong United Fund Integrated Project".

Li Wei welcomed the visit of Academician Xie and other experts and introduced the recent reform and development of Shandong Energy. He said, according to the requirements by the provincial government, Shandong Energy is putting more efforts on integration of prime resources and new energy development and promote quality development. And he hoped that Academician Xie and other experts can provide supports and advice for the technology innovation and industry upgrading of Shandong Energy.

Xie Heping expressed that Shandong Energy has rich experience and sound foundation in ensuring energy security of Shandong province, optimizing energy industry layout and energy mix. He hoped that Shandong Energy can strengthen communication and exchange with the leading experts in different fields, establish R&D platform integrating industry, learn and research, train talents team so as to realize quality development under China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality target.
