In the evening of 22 July, after receiving a dispatch to aid the disaster-stricken area in Zhengzhou, Henan, Shandong Energy quickly assembled 83 rescuers, 15 vehicles to Zhengzhou Henan Province, carrying 26 large-flow drainage pumps, "Dragon Suction" drainage vehicles, power generation vehicles and other rescue equipment, to carry out flood fighting and rescue missions.

In the past few days, Henan has encountered unprecedented heavy rains and many places were flooded. At 18:50 on 22 July, upon receiving a notice from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Emergency Department on rushing to assist Zhengzhou, Henan, Shandong Energy Group attached great importance to it and responded quickly. Mr. Li Wei, Chairman and Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, immediately made deployment, required to undertake the flood fighting and rescue work as quickly as possible at all costs, manpower and material resources.

Shandong Energy Group immediately established a rescue work leading group with Mr. Li Wei,  Chairman and Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, Mr. Zhang Baocai, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee as the team leader, and Mr. Zhang Ruoxiang, Deputy General Manager and Member of the CPC Shandong Energy Standing Committee as the deputy team leader, with on-site rescue Group, technical expert group, equipment and material support group, strengthen rescue dispatch and command to ensure that rescue work is carried out in a safe, efficient and orderly manner.

In instant respond to the deployment, the first three rescue teams, namely Yanzhou Coal Mining Rescue Team, Zibo Mining Group Rescue Team, and Zaozhuang Mining Group Rescue Team, immediately activated the rescue emergency plan. They urgently carried drainage pumps, assault boats, water rescue robots and other flood rescue equipment and rushed to Zhengzhou, Henan overnight. At 2:30 am on 23 July, they arrived in Zhengzhou one after another and quickly joined in the flood fighting.

It is reported that the first three rescue teams of Shandong Energy Group are mainly responsible for the drainage of underground garages in Jinshui District of Zhengzhou City and the drainage of foundation pits of Chengzhong village. At present, flood fighting is being carried out in an intense and orderly manner.
