On September 16, Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of Shandong Energy, met respectively with the guests from Huawei, Guohua Energy Investment Corporation and Shanghai Electric Group.

On the morning of September 16, Li Wei met with Zou Zhilei, Senior Vice President of Huawei and Chairman of the “Coal Mine Corps”, a Huawei’s internal smart mine innovation team launched in 2021, and held an in-depth exchange on the promotion of intelligent coal mining.

In his welcome speech, Li Wei presented to Zou-led delegation SDEG’s recent progress in coal mine intelligentization. He said that SDEG remains firm in "reducing frontier workforce by mechanization, automation and intelligentization", and endeavors to build a host of model mines that are safe, green, intelligent and high-efficient. In this direction, he hoped that Huawei could draw on its unique advantages strengthen R&D, and work together with Shandong Energy to solve the bottleneck problems hindering smart coal mine construction, so as to contribute its bit to national energy security and high-quality development of the industry.

In response, Zou Zhilei introduced its advantages of the Coal Mine Corps, the developments and relevant standards in the R&D of intelligent coal mines, and the application of AI-based innovation. Huawei also expects to partner with SDEG across all areas, leverage its own strength in data algorithms, network communication, system integration, and help SDEG take off soon in building intelligent coal mines.

On the same morning, Li Wei also received Wang Guangqun, Member of CPC Guohua Energy Investment Company Committee and Deputy General Manager of Guohua Energy Investment Company, and his delegation, before exchanging views on bilateral cooperation.

Li Wei introduced the layout of the new energy industry of SDEG. He said, at present, SDEG is accelerating its transformational development in accordance with the strategic goal of “ double carbon”, which means reaching peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060. Currently, SDEG is tapping the core technology advantage to vigorously adjust its industry layout by shifting to the areas of new energy, new materials, high-end chemicals and others. He hoped that both sides would further deepen communication and actively promote cooperation so as to complement each other's advantages and contribute to the high-quality development of both enterprises.

Wang Guangqun briefed on the development status and main business of Guohua Energy. He said that both SDEG and Guohua Energy are committed to the implementation of "double carbon” strategy and the transformational development of enterprises. He hoped that both sides will actively conduct cooperation in fields of hydrogen energy, offshore wind power and photovoltaic power generation and achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcome.

On the afternoon of September 16, Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, met with Jin Xiaolong, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Group and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, who was visiting SDEG.

Li Wei expressed that SDEG, as the largest provincial SOE in Shandong, complies with the strategic requirements of "double carbons", and actively undertakes the responsibilities of guaranteeing the energy security and optimizing energy layout and energy structure in Shandong.

Besides, SDEG serves as the platform of new energy investment. At present, new energy industry is the strategic priority in terms of the industry transformation and upgrading of SDEG. Li Wei hoped that both sides will complement each other's strengths, innovate and expand cooperation methods, and promote the high-quality development of new energy industry.

Jin Xiaolong introduced the current development status and future development plan of Shanghai Electric. He said that Shanghai Electric, as a large comprehensive high-end equipment manufacturer in China, has been committed to be a green, environmental friendly, intelligent and interconnected technology integration and system solutions supplier. He hoped that Shanghai Electric can cooperate closely with SDEG and both sides can tap their respective advantages. He also hoped the two sides can conduct cooperation in wind energy, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and other fields so as to jointly build a new high ground for the development of new energy industry.
