From 18th to 19th October, the 2021 Global Industrial Internet Conference opened at New World Expo Hall in Shenyang. Experts and entrepreneurs at home and abroad revolved around “Pursue higher quality and create new growth drivers” for the innovative development of the industrial Internet and digital empowerment. They held extensive and in-depth exchanges as a way to launch a brainstorming on how to integrate industrialization with ICT. Zhang Baocai, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee, Director and General Manager of SDEG, was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Applying IoT in coal mining; Boosting intelligent development of the industry."

In the speech, Zhang Baocai stated that with the goal to be a global clean energy supplier and a world-class energy enterprise, SDEG has proactively promoted the in-depth integration of industrial Internet, big data, AI and 5G in the enterprise's entire factors, value chain and industrial chain. And a new model of digital transformation and development of "Industrial Internet + Smart Mine" and  a clustered development pattern with coal as the mainstay industry were established to embark high-quality industrial development.

In the future, SDEG will uphold the mission to “create smart drivers and lead industry change", continue to cooperate with research institutes and first-class enterprises, and leverage industrial internet to promote the digital product innovation, intelligent production and operation, and integrated industrial system via the industrial Internet.

The conference was hosted by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Association for Science and Technology, Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, and undertaken by Shenyang Municipal People's Government, China Academy of Industrial Internet, Liaoning Communications Administration, Liaoning Provincial Industry and Information Technology, and Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Association. SDEG was invited to join the conference.

On the sidelines of the conference, Zhang Baocai met with Lu Chuncong, chairman of China Academy of Industrial Internet, and his delegation. The two sides had deep exchanges on the accelerated development of industrial Internet innovation in coal mining, in addition to the 5G industrial Internet standard system and the building of innovative application scenarios.
