On the morning of November 30, Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Governor of Shandong Province, inspected the Jiangzhuang Coal Mine of SDEG, during his stay in Zaozhuang City.

He heard the reports from SDEG on supply security and increased storage of coal, evaluation of production capacity increase, safe production, sci-tech innovation and key projects construction, and articulated his requirements for SDEG’s future development.

Accompanied by Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, and Hou Yugang, Secretary of CPC Zaozhuang Mining Group Committee and Chairman of Zaozhuang Mining Group, Zhou Naixiang went to the 3-lower 1007 underground workface in person, and inspected the safety of production along the way. He fully learned about the operation of complete visualized safety control system, six major mining systems as well as the intelligent central control on the workface. He held a cordial talk with the underground workers, asked them about the safety operation procedures and warning analysis for abnormal events, and emphasized more attentions on safety production especially by the end of year 2021.

Zhou Naixiang pointed out that Shandong is not only a major energy producer but also a major consumer itself. SDEG carries heavy weight in ensuring the provincial energy security and economic development. It should always put safe production first in compliance with rules and regulations and go all-out to ensure safe production, as it works to hit the pre-set target for this year.

Zhou Naixiang emphasized that the coal is still a valuable resource in the long run and the key is to how to achieve the clean and efficient use of coal. SDEG should make a holistic plan towards the low-carbon development, focus on intelligent, safe and efficient mining, new energy, and high-end chemical industry, and implement a host of major sci-tech innovation projects. It is imperative to study the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and conscientiously implement the "six principles" set by the provincial committee, act responsibly to realize "one guarantee, two optimizations", in order to enable Shandong Province to “take the lead and advance on all fronts”.
