On the afternoon of December 6, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between SDEG and Huawei was held in Shenzhen. As per the agreement, the two sides will forge a comprehensive strategic partnership covering digital transformation, mining intelligence, equipment manufacturing, new energy, digital industrial development, and talent training.
Attending the ceremony were Li Wei, Secretary of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, Liu Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Vice General Manager of SDEG and Chairman of Yunding Technology Co., Zou Zhilei, Senior Vice President of Huawei and Chairman of Huawei’s Coal Mine Corps, Xia Guohuan, General Manager of Huawei Shandong Company, Jiang Wangcheng, Director of Coal Mine Corps Solution Development and Integrated Verification, as well as Guo Zhenxing, Director of MKT and Solutions.
Li Wei said that this agreement marks a concrete action to seize the opportunities brought by China’s endeavour to build new infrastructure and to implement the “digital China” strategy. It is of great significance for both sides to enhance the synergy between our two Fortune 500 companies and jointly promote the transformation of traditional industries.
SDEG and Huawei has enjoyed a good foundation for cooperation. As 5G, AI, big data, Industrial IoT and other technologies are being applied underground, the coal industry has been embracing a window opportunity of the intelligent leapfrog development, which has given Huawei and SDEG much potentials for further cooperation.
It is hoped that both sides will pursue wider and deeper friendly cooperation at a higher level in basic communications, 5G smart mines, data services, industrial Internet and other fields, based on respective advantages in talent training, technology, industries and markets, which is bound to go a long way toward establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership with each other in digital transformation and intelligent coal mines for a win-win scenario.
Zou Zhilei said that SDEG, as a large state-owned enterprise and a model enterprise in Chinese energy industry, always shoulders its social responsibilities and plays a pivotal role in ensuring regional energy security and economic development. At the signing ceremony, Liu Jian and Xia Guohuan signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of each side.
