On the fourth day after Spring Festival, Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, paid a visit to Shandong Energy Chemicals Company and the GreenHeart Project located in the urban area of Jining city, as he sent New Year wishes to still-on-duty staff and inspected the production operation and project construction.
At Guohong Company, a subsidiary of Shandong Energy Chemicals Company, Li Wei visited the front-line workers at the central control room, coal stock yard, and compressor workshop of synthesis plant. Li Wei emphasized that Guohong Company must always prioritize safety production during the festival, strictly implement the stand-by system for leading directors, and follow various safety-related rules and regulations, enhance the preparedness for emergencies, and safeguard the right operation of plants’ equipment.
After the visit, Li Wei presided over a symposium, hearing the work report of Guohong Company. Li Wei pointed out that although Guohong Company has jumped through hoops for its transformational development, problems remain, such as product simplification, lack of development drivers, and development bottlenecks. Going ahead, we shall set high standards and strict requirements for on-site management, improve work styles, and enhance political awareness so as to establish a good corporate profile.
Breakthroughs are needed in technological innovation. Aligning itself with SDEG’s overall planning, Guohong Company must tread a development path most suitable for its sustainable growth. What also matters is to fine-tune the work style, achieve refined management, reduce costs and improve efficiency. Leadership and talent building is another must. “Virtue, ability, diligence, accomplishment and cleanliness” are the yardstick to measure cadres, with virtue being put at the front and center. A platform conducive to the development of outstanding young talents should be set up.
In the "Fishing+farming+schooling” start-up area of the GreenHeart Project in the urban area of Jining, Li Wei inspected the seedling planting area and the subsidence-triggered lake. Li Wei argued that the start-up area has taken shape, and we should maintain the cooperation with local governments in case of any adjustment in planning.
"Fishing+farming+schooling" start-up area is the first such area under the GreenHeart Project, covering an area of about 2.8 million sq m. Its "land pre-treatment + industry introduction" model is path-breaking for the treatment of thick coal-seam mining subsidence area in China; it is shortlisted into the second batch of "Typical Cases of Ecological Product Value Realization" by the Ministry of Natural Resources in China. By doing so, 2.15 million sq m of arable land that suffered the damage by subsidence has been protected. The high-end seedling and flower industry adapted to the continuous and dynamic subsidence of the ground surface has been introduced, resulting in a total of over 2 million plants in 64 varieties.
