On the third day after the Spring Festival, Zhang Baocai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee as well as Director and General Manager of SDEG, visited Yankuang Energy to send New Year wishes to the still-on-duty staff.

Zhang Baocai went down to the 6307 intelligent working face of Dongtan Coal Mine, having a cordial conversation with the front-line workers to learn more about the production engineering of working face, the operation of intelligent equipment, the prevention and control of rock burst, and the management of working face supports. He required Dongtan Coal Mine to put safety first, safeguard the bottom line of safety, promote the building of intelligent mines equipped with first-class smart equipment, and eventually slim down the underground staff and improve efficiency.

Up on the surface, Zhang Baocai came to the Coal Delivery Center of Dongtan Coal Mine to visit  quantitative truck-loading facilities to gain more knowledge about the coal delivery dynamics during the Spring Festival. He emphasized the demand to have a big-picture mindset, enhance safety production, and stabilize production and supply, so as to ensure a stable and reliable provision of coal during the Spring Festival and other major events.

Subsequently, Zhang Baocai presided over a symposium and listened to the work reports of the general directors of Yankuang Energy and Dongtan Coal Mine. Zhang Baocai said that Yankuang Energy, not only as the flagship asset of SDEG but also as the backbone coal mine of Yankuang Energy, should further consolidate their political stance, bear in mind the big picture and make more impressive progress.

Zhang Baocai stressed that Yankuang Energy should stay high and aim far, equip itself with a can-do spirit, and ensure that the "five business segments" and "capital operation" progress together. It should decidedly align itself with SDEG and become a bellwether in comprehensive reform, safety management, intelligence and efficiency building, operational coordination, management improvement, capital operation, in addition to SOE party building.

On the back of what we have achieved, Yankuang Energy must do a good job in both safety production and party building. It should reinforce safety management in accordance with the law and regulations, and take more concrete measures to build a coal mine safety production defense line.

It shall continue to strengthen the talent-building efforts by following the overall arrangement of the headquarter, form different talent echelons to the benefit of SDEG’s growth, and cultivate various responsible talents with eligible skills and abilities.
