On April 2, a mobilization conference was held at Yulong Island in Longkou City of Yantai City of Shandong Province to comprehensively summarize the progress achieved during the first round of 100 days campaign since the launch of Yulong Island Refining-Petrochemical Integration Project (the “Project”) and to initiate the second round of 100 days campaign of the Project.
All participating departments and organizations are required to make arduous efforts for another 100 days to realize the success in the second quarter of 2022, so as to be closer toward the overall goal.
Fu Mingxian, Vice Governor of Shandong Province and also Secretary of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, announced the start of the second round of the 100-day campaign.
At the Conference, Zheng Deyan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Yantai City, announced the mobilization order for the second round of the 100-day campaign. As required in the order, with focus on the crucial goals, all participating parties must specify every concrete task and promote it by means of project management, list of tasks with specific responsible persons, in a bid to keep the project progress always on a “fast track”.
Besides, it is important to fully mobilize the leadership, workforce and resources, and move faster to crack hard nuts by virtue of innovative thinking, appropriate reforms and market mechanisms.
Every party must strengthen top-down and paralleled coordination with leading managements taking the lead. To foster a strong synergy, a competition-based mechanism should be in place for all parties to, in a timely manner, demonstrate their achievements within every single month and then to vie for ranks.
Focus shall also be concentrated on the building of bottom-line thinking and the balance among epidemic prevention and control, safety production, quality check, environmental protection, and public opinion real-time tracking and control, etc., in order to secure a victory for the completion of the Project and set the stage for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party with excellent results.
In his speech, Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDEG, stressed that SDEG has conscientiously implemented the deployment requirements of the provincial government, fully executed the action plan, actively fulfilled its obligations as a shareholder and provided comprehensive support for the project construction. By doing so, SDEG has comprehensively performed its duties in fields of corporate governance, fund guarantee as well as technical support during the first round of “100-day campaign”.
Li Wei said that in the second round of the "100-day campaign", SDEG will resolutely implement the decision of the provincial government to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and socioeconomic development, firmly shoulder its main responsibilities of “one guarantee and two optimizations” and fully implement the project objectives and tasks. By concentrating the advantageous resources and actively taking responsibilities and actions, SDEG will promote the project construction at full speed with the purpose of cultivating a high-quality and demonstration petrochemical project that showcases the successful transformation of old growth drivers into new ones in Shandong Province and establishing a world-class high-end petrochemical industry base. By tapping its advantages in the core technologies of coal chemical industry as well as in the system operation and maintenance, SDEG will deeply participate in the layout of the industrial chain, innovation chain and value chain of Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. In addition, SDEG will strictly ensure the implementation of “five major controls” so as to safeguard the bottom line for safety and environmental protection. By lawfully performing the rights as a shareholder, SDEG will help Yulong Petrochemical comprehensively improve its cooperate governance, core competence and operation efficiency so as to make greater contribution to cultivation of a modern and strong socialist city and province in the new era.
