On the morning of May 20, the inaugural ceremony of Shandong Electronic Port Co., Ltd. (“Shandong Electronic Port”) was held in Shandong Energy (SDE). Zhang Bin, Secretary and Director of the CPC Shandong SASAC Committee, Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, Li Fengli, Deputy Secretary, Director and General Manager of the CPC Shandong Port Committee, Man Shengang, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Gold Committee and Chairman of Shandong Gold, Zou Qingzhong, Secretary of the CPC Inspur Committee and Chairman of Inspur, and Jiang Guodong, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Ocean Committee and Chairman of Shandong Ocean, attended the ceremony and jointly launched the establishment of Shandong Electronic Port.
Shandong Electronic Port is a public welfare enterprise authorized by the provincial government to build a "single window" for China (Shandong) international trade. It is an important deployment for the CPC provincial committee and the provincial government to implement the important decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Counci. It aims to promote the whole-chain operation of "customs, port, trade and taxes", facilitate cross-border trade, optimize Shandong's business environment, and broaden horizons for opening-up. Its registered capital is RMB200 million, and Shandong Provincial SASAC, as the largest shareholder, entrusted it to SDE as a subsidiary.
Zhang Bin said in his speech that Shandong Electronic Port shall voluntarily undertake the infrastructure-building tasks arranged by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government and relevant provincial-level departments. On the basis of ensuring that basic services and data security are in place, it shall continue to improve services and business added-value, in order to create an integrated information platform for customs clearance, logistics and foreign trade, and accelerate the establishment of a "single window" for international trade that conforms to international governance rules and standards and meets the needs of socio-economic development.
As shareholders of Shandong Electronic Port Co.,Ltd., the relevant provincial enterprises should effectively fulfill their responsibilities, continuously improve the corporate governance structure, actively contribute resources, strengthen business coordination to achieve synergy, and effectively enhance the market-oriented service capability of Shandong Electronic Port with the purpose of accelerating the high-quality and stable development.
Li Wei said, as the shareholders and management unit of Shandong Electronic Port, Shandong Energy must heighten political vision, contribute to the efficient corporate governance in accordance with the law, cultivate a corporate governance mechanism that features law based and transparent ruling, coordinated operation and effective check and balance, promote business development to achieve innovative breakthroughs, and well coordinate the expansion of public welfare business and market-oriented business in innovative ways.
