On the afternoon of September 5, China Council for Brand Development, China Appraisal Society, National Brand Project of Xinhua News Agency and other organizations jointly released the "2022 China Brand Value Evaluation List" in Beijing. SDE organized a group viewing of the online press conference. Zhang Baocai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, Director and General Manager of SDE, Zhang Ruoxiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Deputy General Manager of SDE, Ru Gang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Auditor of SDE, and Xu Xichao, Secretary of the Board of Directors and Chief Confidentiality Officer, participated in the conference.
1056 participants involved in this year’s brand evaluation, covering leading enterprises in most industries. The evaluation information of 645 brands was released, according to which, the total brand value stood as RMB8,973.7 billion, up by RMB599.1 billion as compared with that of the previous year. Among them, there are 18 participants whose brand value exceed RMB100 billion, including ICBC, KWEICHOW MOUTAI, Sinopec, PetroChina, China Energy and others. Based on the evaluation, Shandong Energy Group’s brand value totaled RMB97.919 billion, ranking the 6th among all enterprises in the energy and chemical industry and the 1st among all the Shandong Enterprises. With a brand strength of 925, SDE topped all the coal enterprises on the list.
The release of China Brand Value Evaluation List conforms to international standards and has 9-year history. It is an important measure to establish a brand value evaluation mechanism with Chinese characteristics, create positive momentum for Chinese brands, and promote Chinese brands go abroad.
