On the morning of April 14, SDE held the work conference on the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the new era at SDE headquarter in Jinan. At the work conference, the key messages and guidance from president Xi Jinping's speech has been delivered and the future studies plannings have been laid out for SDE as required by Shandong Provincial People's Government and the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. Liu Xiao, a representative from the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, delivered a speech. Li Wei, the Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE attended the conference and made corresponding work deployments. This conference was presided over Zhang Baocai, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, Director and General Manager of SDE.
Li Wei stated that it was the 6th large scale unified learning for all CPC members in the new era and all CPC branches and party members from SDE shall pay great heed to the guidance and messages delivered in General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech. With a clear direction, SDE will promote further studies and transform General Secretary Xi Jinping's Thought into the driving power for future work improvement.
Li Wei said, based on the requirement of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and corporate reality, the CPC Shandong Energy Committee has formulated the "Action Plan on the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era". With a focus on the five goals of this themed study, party branches at all levels should also highlight SOE features, and SDE characteristics and ensure this themed study can be carried out with high standards and qualities. All party members shall always remain loyal to the CPC, true to the original aspiration and the corporate mission and shoulder respective responsibilities. With such commitment, SDE will take concrete actions to further promote corporate development, and cultivate the world-class enterprise brand. While advancing safe, intelligent, efficient and green development in coal mining, SDE accelerates the clean and low-carbon transformation of industries in an attempt to secure a leading position for Shandong in terms of high-quality development. In addition, at heart of everything party members does is to serve and prioritize the people and the staff members.
Uphold principles to promote the primary-level democracy. Care for employees and build up 4 bottom lines of their livelihood. It is necessary to practice uprightness and integrity in creating a clean and transparent enterprise and ensure that warnings are right in place. It is urgent to execute rectification in targeted areas. We shall strictly keep to the bottom line of integrity and guarantee self-discipline.
Li Wei requested that Party committees at all levels should set up corresponding organizations, and Party leaders should act as the first responsible person and implement plans in a case-by-case manner. It is necessary to say no to formalism, prevent “being two-faced”, and refrain from "going through the motions" in learning and education, and guard against "superficial" in reflecting on problems and "being grandiose" in rectification. Party members and leading cadres at all levels must enhance their awareness of leading by example, behave as practitioners and presenters of themed education, and form a "head-goose effect".
Liu Xiao pointed out that Party organizations and Party members and cadres at all levels from Shandong Energy must accurately implement the general requirements, fundamental tasks, specific goals, and key measures of this themed education, reject formalism, focus on practical results, and ensure that the education of this kind is carried out in an orderly way. The 16th Touring Leading Group of the Provincial Committee will conscientiously perform the responsibilities, work together with the CPC Shandong Energy Committee for the common cause, and supervise and guide related work.
