On June 3rd, a plaque unveiling ceremony for the "Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Hainan Party Building Collaborative Zone" and the "Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Cooperation Center in Hainan" was held in Haikou. The event was organized by Shandong SASAC and co-hosted by Shandong Energy Group, Shandong Land Development Group and Shandong Health Group. Attendees included Luo Zengbin, member of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Haikou Municipal Committee, Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Director of Shandong SASAC, Ma Yonghua, Party Secretary and Director of Hainan SASAC, and Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE.
Man Shengang expressed that the establishment of the "Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Hainan Party Building Collaborative Zone" and the "Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Cooperation Center in Hainan" is a milestone event and a historic moment for Shandong's SOEs to actively participate in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port and contribute to the high-quality development of Hainan. Shandong's SOEs should fully integrate into the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, actively align with Hainan's strategic development plan and free trade port policy system. It is crucial to enhance innovation, establish "regional benchmarks," and provide new impetus for the high-quality development of Shandong and Hainan.
Ma Yonghua stated that since the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Experimental Zone and the construction of the free trade port, Shandong's SOEs have actively responded to national strategies and invested in Hainan, making important contributions to Hainan's economic and social development. The Hainan SASAC will adhere to the leadership of party building, promote close cooperation, optimize the business environment, and provide thoughtful and considerate services for the high-quality development of Shandong's SOEs in Hainan.
Li Wei said SDE should seize the development opportunity emerged in the building of Hainan Free Trade Port, firmly shoulder its responsibilities as the Secretary Organization of the CPC party building coordination zone and work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality party building. In addition, SDE shall full tap its brand influence as Fortune Global 500 company, and advance in-depth cooperation with other Shandong Provincial SOEs in a bid to forage an "inter-provincial enclave" in Hainan. The ultimate goal is to promote the coordinated development and mutual innovative learning between Shandong and Hainan in fields of party building, logistics and trade, financial investment, energy supply, low-carbon transformation etc, and to make greater contribution to the building of Hainan Free Trade Port.
At the unveiling ceremony, the "Notice on the Establishment of Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Hainan Party Building Collaborative Zone" and "Notice on the Establishment of Shandong Provincial State-owned Enterprises Cooperation Center in Hainan" were presented officially; Several speeches were made by the representatives of Shandong Provincial SOEs stationed in Hainan and the representatives of Hainan Branch of Shandong Provincial SOEs.
Subsequently, Li Wei attended a exchange seminar between Haikou Municipal Government and Shandong Provincial SOEs where he delivered a speech.
Li Wei expressed his thanks to the CPC Haikou Municipal Committee and Haikou Municipal People's Government for their long-term support. Also, Li Wei further commented that Haikou, as the capital city of Hainan, which is positioned as the free-trade port, enjoys favorable government policies, sound business environment and graceful nature environment, making it a hot spot that attracts investment. Over the past five years, SDE has comprehensively cooperated with Hainan in accordance with the city's development strategy, secured breakthroughs in trade models innovation, industrial transformation and upgrading, and Shandong-Hainan coordination, and gradually developed into a full-industrial chain enterprise with coordinated and balanced development in bulk commodity trading, intelligent transaction service, new warehousing and logistics, as well as industrial parks. Given that, SDE is recognized as a head enterprise in Hainan by the local government, making it an excellent case for successful cooperation between government and enterprise. In the next stage, SDE will act more actively and integrate itself into the development strategy of Hainan Free Trade Port. With a much more open market access, the continuously optimized investment environment and favorable government policy, SDE will further innovate its offshore trading patterns, establish trading and cross-border settlement channels for non-Hainan citizens, and promote the economic and social development in Hainan. While establishing the Shandong Provincial SOEs (stationed in Hainan) Cooperation Center and Shandong International Business Cluster, SDE will strive to cultivate a new platform that features coordinated development among Shandong enterprises based in Hainan and achieve win-win for Shandong and Hainan.
During his visit in Hainan, Li Wei attended the Exchange Seminar between Shandong SASAC and Shandong Provincial SOEs and visited the Shandong International Business Cluster with other participants.
Participants of this seminar include Sun Bo, Deng Lisong, Wu Zhenxiang, representing the Hainan Municipal People's Government, and responsible persons from Shandong SASAC, representatives from some Shandong Provincial SOEs, as well as representatives of Hainan Branch of Shandong Provincial SOEs.
