On December 1, the 2023 China Association for Quality Annual Conference and the Second Global Excellence Conference was held in Beijing.
Mr. Li Wei, the Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, and Chairman of both Shandong Energy and Yankuang Energy, won the title of “China Outstanding Quality Person”, an individual award under China Quality Award.

“The 20th China Quality Award” was conferred to Yankuang Energy Group by Gu Xiulian, the Vice-chairwoman of the Tenth National People’s Congress Standing Committee, and Jia Fuxing, the Secretary of the CPC China Association for Quality(“CAQ”) Committee and the Chairman of CAQ.
Yankuang Energy won “The 20th China Quality Award”
Endorsed by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and organized by China Association for Quality, the China Quality Award stands as the equivalent to the “Oscar Award” in China’s quality community, which is designed to confer the supreme honor to organizations, projects, teams and individuals who have practiced concept of “Quality Empowers the Nation” and made great contributions. After years of standardized operation and development, the China Quality Award now stands as one of the four global quality awards, in parallel with the Baldrige National Quality Award(US), the EFQM Global Excellence Award(EU) and Deming Prize(Japan).
Jointly organized by CAQ and All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the individual award, “China Outstanding Quality Person” award is to honor those entrepreneurs, quality experts and practitioners who made outstanding contributions to China’s quality building.
Name List of “China Outstanding Quality Persons”
This year, a total of 14 organizations were finalized on the list of China Quality Award for Organizations, covering high-end equipment manufacturing, electric power, coal mining, construction, light industry and others. It is the third time for Yankuang Energy to win such an award with the previous two secured in 2003 and 2011 respectively.
