On the morning of 28 April, the signing and plaque-unveiling ceremony of Shandong Energy Modern Industry College was held in Jinan. Entrusted by Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, Zhang Ruoxiang, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of SDE, and Meng Shangjiu, President of Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, jointly unveiled the plaque of Shandong Energy Modern Industry College.

Zhang Ruoxiang stated that the leading industries of Shandong Energy are highly compatible with the advantageous disciplines of Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, and there is a solid foundation for cooperation between the two parties. The establishment of the College marks the new progress of the two-way cooperation. Shandong Energy will fully leverage its own advantages in industries, funds, resources, etc., and do all it can to support the construction and development of the College, so as to create a model of university-enterprise cooperation and industry-academia winning solutions.

Meng Shangjiu commented that as a mega-sized provincial SOE, Shandong Energy stays as a great platform for the career development of many college graduates where talents are welcomed, nurtured, and well-used. Over the years for collaboration, Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology has established deep friendship with Shandong Energy, and the two parties have reached consensus in multiple areas. It is hoped that the two parties could see the founding of the Shandong Energy Modern Industrial College as the chance for further deepening cooperation in resources-sharing, talents exchanges and other areas, and for opening a new chapter of development that features the integration of university and enterprise, as well as the integration of industry and education. At the signing ceremony, Zhang Ruoxiang signed the Shandong Energy Modern Industrial College Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Zhang Baoyong, the Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology on behave of the two parties respectively. Liu Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee, and Vice General Manager of Shandong Energy presided over the signing ceremony. 

During the visit, Meng Shangjiu also toured the Shandong Energy Exhibition Hall where he learned about the development history, industrial layout, reform and innovation of Shandong Energy in details.
