On 28 May 2024, the 2024 National Entrepreneurs Day and China Entrepreneurs Annual Conference, organized by the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC), the China Entrepreneurs Directors Association, and the Henan Provincial People’s Government, was held in Zhengzhou. Zhu Hongren, Secretary of the CEC Party Committee, Executive Vice President, and Secretary-General of CEC, Chen Yajun, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, Li Bing, Deputy Secretary-General of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and Liu Shangjin, Vice Governor of Henan Province, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, was invited to deliver a keynote speech.
Li Wei stated that on 23 May, General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over a symposium with enterprises and experts in Jinan, pointing the way for Chinese path to modernization and deepening all-round reforms. In recent years, SDE has consistently implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, emphasizing the entrepreneurial spirit characterized by patriotism, dedication, innovation, integrity, law-compliance, social responsibility, and global vision. SDE has always focused on high technology, high efficiency, and high quality to promote the integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain, cultivating new quality productive forces and exploring a new path of transforming from a traditional energy enterprise to a clean energy supplier and world-class enterprise.
Li Wei said that the essence of new productivity comes to green productivity. As an energy enterprise, Shandong Energy actively moves towards the goal of “the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, and strives to build the green supply chain system, green low-carbon circular economy system and new energy system that are autonomous and controllable so as to serve the needs of the country, development and enterprises. During the annual conference, 12 special events and themed forums were held. Eminent entrepreneurs, including Li Wei, was invited to share enterprise management practices at the Yuan Baohua Enterprise Management Lecture, as a wat to showcase management methodology, and present corporate stories. The Lecture serves as a platform to discuss new ideas, new practices, and new methods in corporate management.
