On 19 June 2024, Zhang Haibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Shandong Provincial Government and Vice Governor of Shandong, investigated SDE National Mine Emergency Rescue Team. Zhang Ruoxiang, Member of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Vice General Manager of SDE, reported on relevant emergency rescue work on behalf of SDE.
At the site, Zhang Haibo watched the procession show, special skills demonstrations, and simulated training exercises. He also visited the emergency rescue facilities as well as the simulated underground tunnels. He highly praised the construction, training, equipment and achievements of SDE rescue team. Additionally, he extended his expectation for the good performance by the eight players who will soon depart for Colombia for the international mine rescue competition.
Zhang Haibo stated that high-quality development must be underpinned by high-level safety. Accredited as a “national team”, the SDE National Mine Emergency Rescue Team has well performed its role in national mine emergency rescue and Shandong's mine and geological disaster emergency rescue. It has been playing a significant role in emergency rescue, training drills, and actual combats.
Zhang Haibo emphasized that the eight players representing China in the international mine rescue competition in Colombia must thoroughly prepare for the training, and complete the competition tasks safely and efficiently, striving to reward the country with sterling performance. The SDE National Mine Emergency Rescue Team should focus on improving internal management, leveraging world-class rescue equipment and technical advantages, and fully preparing for emergency rescue operations. The Team is anticipated to act as brave fighters to finish all emergency rescue work safely, appropriately, and effectively.
Mu Shuling, Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial Government, Liu Dongbo, Member of the Standing Member of the CPC Jining Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Jining, and Wu Xiangqian, Chief Safety Officer of Shandong Energy Group attended the investigation.
