In 2023, facing challenges such as sluggish macroeconomic recovery, fluctuating market dynamics, and deeper restructuring, Shandong Energy Group implemented substantial reforms to overcome obstacles and bottlenecks. These efforts yielded steady and quality progress, enhancing traditional-industry transformation and offering new opportunities in emerging industries.

In the first half of this year, despite severe economic conditions and significant declines in key product prices, Shandong Energy Group still managed to lead all Shandong provincial enterprises in economic indicators. According to the Fortune Global 500 list this year, the combined revenues of listed companies total around USD41 trillion, with the threshold (minimum sales revenue) increasing from USD30.9 billion to USD32.1 billion. 133 Chinese companies hit the list this year.
