On the morning of August 5, Meng Xiandong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee and Secretary of the CPC Tongliao Municipal Committee, led a delegation to Shandong Energy Group for work exchange. Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of SDE, received Meng Xiandong-led delegation.

Li Wei expressed gratitude for the long-term care and support from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Tongliao City to SDE’s enterprises based in Inner Mongolia. He introduced SDE's reform and development, investment in Inner Mongolia, and project planning.

He noted that after more than twenty years of external development, Inner Mongolia has become a crucial strategic base for the high-quality development of SDE. Going forward, SDE will earnestly implement the strategic cooperation requirements between Shandong and Inner Mongolia, and integrate into the local economic development. He hoped that Inner Mongolia and Tongliao City will continue to support SDE’s enterprises in Inner Mongolia, focus on long-term development, advance project implementation, and pursue a win-win path together.

Meng Xiandong introduced the socio-economic development of Inner Mongolia and Tongliao City. He stated that SDE, as a Fortune Global 500 company and a leading enterprise in the energy industry, fulfills its energy-security responsibilities and performs its duties as a state-owned enterprise. The integration and development between the local government and enterprises is going from strength to strength.

He hoped that both sides would unite as one, implement practical measures, and seek effective outcomes. Inner Mongolia and Tongliao City will provide support in policy, project construction, and procedure-making based on the actual needs of SDE’s enterprises in Inner Mongolia, so as to contribute more to the economic development of both Shandong and Inner Mongolia.

The two sides also had in-depth discussions on accelerating the development and construction of related projects.

Tongliao City leaders, Lyu Guohua and Gao Jiyie, and Shandong Energy Group leaders, Zhang Ruoxiang and Hou Yugang, attended the event.
