On December 2, Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of SDE, led a delegation to visit Yu Peigen, Chairman of Dongfang Electric Corporation, in Chengdu. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on boosting strategic cooperation and achieving mutual benefits.
Li Wei stated that in recent years, SDE has fully implemented the deployments of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Provincial Government, shouldered the responsibility of ensuring energy security, optimizing energy layout, and adjusting energy mix. It has fulfilled its role as the provincial-level new energy investment platform, coordinating energy development in both coal-fired power and new energy sectors inside and outside Shandong. This has given birth to a fully-fledged industrial chain incorporating power system resource development, project investment, and high-end equipment manufacturing. He noted that Dongfang Electric enjoys a leading advantage in energy technology innovation and high-end equipment manufacturing. It is hoped that the two sides would leverage their respective advantages, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as equipment operation and maintenance management, unit upgrading and retrofitting, and special talent cultivation, around existing collaborative projects. Cooperation is expected to be expanded in new energy, new technologies, new equipment, project construction, investment operations, and industrial chain coordination.
Yu Peigen reciprocally stated that SDE and Dongfang Electric Corporation have kept close interaction at various levels and engaged in in-depth cooperation across multiple fields, with a deep bond built between. He hoped that the two sides would continue to consolidate two-way cooperation in the coal-fired power generation sector, seek new breakthroughs in wind power, energy storage, energy conservation, and environmental protection, and continually expand their industrial chain collaboration. Furthermore, he called for accelerating the green energy transformation, ensuring energy security, and contributing to high-quality development of China’s energy industry.
During the visit, Li Wei also visited the Technology Exhibition Hall of Dongfang Electric Corporation. Mr. Li Jianhua, a leader of Dongfang Electric Corporation also joined the event.
