On 19 February, Ge Huijun, Chairwoman of Shandong Provincial CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), visited Shandong Energy Group for investigation on “Leveraging the Fundamental Role of Consumption and Investment”. She examined the investment and construction of key projects in SDE's core business system, as well as the application of the industrial internet platform independently developed by Yunding Technology for the energy sector. Ge Huijun also heard a work report from Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of SDE, gaining a clear understanding of SDE's efforts to promote consumption and investment.

Ge Huijun emphasized that SDE must adhere to green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, strengthen innovation-driven development, and promote the construction of key projects. SDE should aim to  expand its business, contributing to building a stronger Shandong. She also called for increased support for Yunding Technology, a leading company in the IT sector of the coal industry, to open a new horizon amid the digital transformation.

Li Wei stated that SDE will earnestly implement the spirit of the several provincial conferences on boosting consumption, actively integrate into the “Five Enhancements Project”, systematically address the challenges of a declining coal market, and fulfill three major responsibilities as a SOE. This will help the province continue to stimulate and expand consumption province-wide.

The event was also attended by Qin Chuanbin, Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial CPPCC; Liu Xiaozhong, Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial CPPCC; Qian Huantao, Director of the Economic Committee of Shandong Provincial CPPCC; as well as Shandong Energy Group leaders, Zhou Hong, Zhang Ruoxiang, and CFO Yang Zaichang.
