On March 12, Li Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of SDE, led a delegation to Beijing, where he visited China Minmetals Corporation, China Datang Corporation, China Huaneng Group, and State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC). Li held in-depth discussions with the persons in charge from these central enterprises to promote mutual benefits and collaboration.
Deepening Cooperation with China Minmetals Corporation
During the visit to China Minmetals, Li Wei congratulated the company on its achievements and introduced SDE ’s industrial layout and overseas expansion. He highlighted that the China Salt Lake Industry Group, a JV recently established by China Minmetals and Qinghai Province with a focus on potash fertilizer production, aligns well with SDE’s "3+1" industrial strategy. Li expressed hopes for joint efforts in mineral exploration, supply chain security, and overseas development. Chen Dexin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, thanked SDE for its support and emphasized that both companies are highly complementary in business structures and strategies. He expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in mineral development, technological innovation, and smart operations to serve national development strategies.
Expanding Energy Cooperation with China Datang Corporation
At China Datang, Li Wei thanked the corporation for its long-term support and highlighted SDE’s commitment to strengthening its "3+1" industrial system and accelerating green, low-carbon development. He expressed hopes to deepen collaboration in energy supply, resource development, logistics, and project cooperation. Lyu Jun, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Datang, acknowledged the solid foundation of two-way cooperation and stated that Datang is accelerating its industrial transformation and upgrading. He expressed interest in expanding collaboration in coal-fired power integration, new energy, coal industrial chain, and overseas businesses to achieve higher-quality mutual development.
Strengthening Cooperation with China Huaneng Group
During the visit to China Huaneng, Li Wei introduced SDE’s business development and industrial layout, recognizing Huaneng’s significant role in China's electric power industry. He noted the successful cooperation between the two companies in the East Gansu coal production base, energy supply security, and logistics trade. Li hoped to further strengthen the partnership and explore new opportunities in new energy and thermal power. Wen Shugang, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Huaneng, regarded SDE as a key strategic partner. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in energy supply, resource development, new energy, and thermal power to contribute to building a new energy system.
Promoting Clean Energy Development with SPIC
At SPIC, Li Wei introduced SDE’s development progress and acknowledged SPIC’s leadership in clean energy generation worldwide. He expressed hopes to deepen cooperation in coal supply, coal-fired power integration, logistics trade, equity partnerships, and new energy development to support energy security and industrial transformation. Liu Mingsheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of SPIC, commended SDE’s achievements and reaffirmed the importance of the two-way partnership. He stated that both sides will strengthen cooperation in coal supply, new energy development, overseas mineral exploration, and logistics trade to drive green, low-carbon development.
