SDEG's phase I financial information system integration project successfully came on line

On the morning of September 6th, SDEG's phase I financial information system integration project (“the integration project”) successfully went online and the first batch of units have gained access to the new financial system. This not only marks that SDEG has taken the lead in terms of enterprise digitization but also shows SDEG has transitioned into the implementation period of “the integration project”. It will contribute to the integrated management & control of industry and finance and comprehensively optimize SDEG’s management.

Li Wei, Secretary of SDEG Party Committee and Chairman of SDEG, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He said that since March 2021 when the project started, the “integration project” has been seen as a task of major political importance by the project team and relevant departments of the reorganized SDEG. They have abided by requirements and deployment of SDEG, followed the principle of “overall design, gradual implementation, system first and rapid coverage” and overcome a number of difficulties be it technical or practical. The difficulties include the lack of staff, the abundance of data, disunity of systems and constrain of time. In spite of all the difficulties, the project was successfully pushed forward with 382 project members working in closed offices and more than 5,000 business personnel participating in depth for 206 days and nights. Altogether they have organized 345 individual business plans, sorted out 1,513 business processes, compiled 13 business blueprint reports with 830,000 words, tested 1,679 business scenarios, imported 9.85 million static data and 2.05 million dynamic data. Besides, they have successfully done the training of 518 internal trainers and more than 4,000 end-users, finished 3,278 system switching tasks, and completed the work that took two years to complete in the industry in just over five months. The "five systems" of operation control & cooperation, ecology coordination, risk prevention & control, innovation application, and decision-making support have been established, creating "SDEG speed", "SDEG quality" and "SDEG examplar" in terms of the integration of information systems in the industry.

Li Wei pointed out for the purpose of building a digital and intelligent enterprise, SDEG should equip itself with a global vision, practice international standards, establish SDEG flags and become a industrial model. SDEG should take the “integration project” as an opportunity to promote the deep integration of industry and finance. By implementing the work principal of “overall design, gradual implementation, system first and rapid coverage”, SDEG will unify its financial information system, ERP system and finally achieve system integration and build an interconnected financial system. Besides, SDEG need to coordinate system optimization of the Phase I project and the launching of Phase II Project. These two tasks need to be conducted simultaneously and be completed successfully. Li Wei further emphasized that in order to ensure the successful launching of Phase II Project in January next year, we should first achieve full coverage of the ERP system, whose functions have been optimized with its applications being expanded.

Li Wei stressed that the “integration project” focuses on the current imperative initiatives that promise a long-term boon. All parties including the project members should uplift their political stance and be fully aware that the “integration project” is an important task, which must be completed successfully. Li Wei also required all subsidiaries, departments and the project team involved should ensure the financial information system be quickly and comprehensively integrated and go into efficient running. To achieve that, SDEG should strengthen leadership, coordination and cooperation, adhere to results-oriented principle, practice strict assessment and make sure everyone shoulder their corresponding responsibilities.

Zhang Baocai, Deputy Secretary of SDEG Party Committee, Director and General Manager of SDEG, presided over the on-line ceremony. He requested all units and departments including members of Financial Information System Integration Project should seriously study and comprehend the spirit of the meeting, make every effort to sprint for the target set out for the second phase and complete the integration project of the Group with high standard and quality. By Implementing the project, all parties are contributing their wisdom and strength in the building of a global clean energy supplier and a world-class energy enterprise. 

Ru Gang, External Director and Chief Financial Officer of SDEG, presented the project. After that, Li Zhe, Director and General Manager of Accenture, delivered a speech. 203 subsidiary units affiliated to 6 second-level subsidiaries, including Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited, Xinwen Mining Group, Zibo Mining Group, Trade and Marketing Company, Goods and Materials Supply Company and Yunding Technology, all switched to the new system.

Among all attendees are Zhou Hong , who is Member of the Standing Committee of SDEG Party Committee, Auditor in Chief, and Director of CPC Organization Department of SDEG (Human Resources Department), and Liu Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of SDEG Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of SDEG. 

The meeting was held via videolink. Directors of all departments and centers of the headquarter of SDEG, and directors of all Jinan-based second-level companies (directly affiliated companies) in Jinan attended the main session. Directors of other second-level companies (directly affiliated companies) and third-level companies, and members of Financial Information System Integration Project were also present at the sub-sessions.
