On the morning of 29 March, the opening ceremony of the Conference of Great Business Partners (CGBP), hosted by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People’s Government, was held in Shandong Conference Hall. Li Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Committee and Chairman of Shandong Energy, attended the ceremony as a distinguished guest and delivered a speech.
Li Wei said that the CGBP spirit, as an unique embodiment of entrepreneurship, is the pillar that supports Shandong enterprises to leap forward to world-class enterprises. As a Fortune 500, Shandong Energy is in charge of ensuring energy security and optimizing energy layout and structure in Shandong. In recent years, we have tried to be a "pioneer" in carrying the mission of green development, promoting the clean and efficient use of coal and technology R&D, and accelerating the construction of a new energy system. The Middle Bohai Sea Offshore Wind Farm has become the largest full-capacity grid-connected project among China's five major offshore wind power bases during the 14th Five-Year Plan. The revenues, total profits and year-end total assets in 2022 increased by 22%, 147% and 51% respectively compared to 2019, ranking 69th in the 2022 Fortune Global 500 List. In the past two years, the Company has supplied 61.93 million tons of thermal coal to power plants and voluntarily surrendered profits of over RMB30 billion, and realized a dispatchable coal stock of 18.5 million tons at the end of 2022. For three consecutive years, the Company was rated as the "Shandong Socially Responsible Enterprise".
Li Wei said that the State Council issued the Opinions on Supporting Shandong in Deepening the Growth Drivers Transformation to Promote Green, Low Carbon and High Quality Development, which provides a major strategic opportunity for the development of SOEs in Shandong. We hope to work together with you to seek new green and low-carbon energy development, promote the wind-solar-storage-hydrogen and source-grid-load-storage integrated development, and strive to realize 15,000 MW of new energy installed capacity by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan. We hope to seek new development in the field of energy and chemicals industry, promote the integrated development of coal and petrochemicals, make a success of Lunan High-end New Materials Park, and promote the high-standard development of Yulong Petrochemicals Project. We expect to seek new development of high-end equipment manufacturing and grow into a comprehensive solution provider; we will build a core base for high-quality development in Shandong, to achieve global allocation of capital, resources, technology and talents.
2022 CGBP, with the theme of "Forging Partnerships for High-quality Development in Shandong", will hold six parallel forums. Guests from domestic and foreign enterprises, finance sector, business associations, science and technology field, education field, overseas Chinese gathered in Shandong to chart the course of high-quality development.
