On January 16, Luxin coal mine of Xinkuang Group kicked off joint test running, marking the development of modernized mine construction by Shandong Energy in Mengdong area has stepped into test production. Zhang Ruoxiang, the standing member of CPC Shandong committee and vice general manager of Shandong Energy attended the ceremony and delivered speech on behalf of the Group. Officials of National Mine Safety Administration Inner Mongolia Bureau, Energy Bureau, Development and Reform Commission and Ecology and Environment Bureau of Xilingele Meng, Wulagai District Management Committee, and leaders of Xinkuang Group initiated the joint test running of Luxin coal mine.
Zhang Ruoxiang said, Shandong Energy has fully performed Shandong-Inner Mongolia Strategic Cooperation Agreement in recent years, proactively develop coal mining, coal chemicals, power generation, new energy and logistics industry in line with the overall economic planning of Inner Mongolia by leveraging its strength in brand, industry and fund, so as to promote quality development of the local society. In the future, Shandong Energy will develop coal, coking, coal chemicals, new energy and logistics industry in an ecology-friendly, green and low-carbon way. Great efforts will be made to built Luxin coal mine into a safe, green, intelligent and efficient one, and realize full-capacity operation, making it a demonstration for intelligent mine.
It is known that Luxin coal mine is located in Mengdong coal energy base, which is adjacent to Huolin River mining area and coal-shortage area of north-east China. The mine coverage is 28.77km2, with coal resource of 911 million tons and designed production capacity of 5 million tons. Its service life is 62 years. Its coal belongs to prime lignite in low sulphur, low phosphorous, low to medium ash content, and high calorific value (about 3500 kcal), which can be used as thermal coal and fuels.
Zhang Ruoxiang also made a site visit to the underground workface, got a full understanding of the joint test running and gave requirements on safe production, intelligent construction and prevention and control of major disasters and hazards.
